Intervention Methodologies

I am trained as a clinical psychologist and a neuropsychologist.  I apply knowledge of brain-mind-body behavior to the phenomenon of individual change.  To this end, I use a number of modalities, among them are:

  • Intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP)
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Emotion Focused Therapy
  • EMDR (eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Mindfulness Training
  • Hypnosis training
  • Low tech biofeedback training
  • Assertiveness Training
  • Decision-making and Time Management training
  • Life Coaching

Individual therapy may be a brief single-session consultation. It may involve short-term therapy of 6 to 8 sessions. Or, you may engage in a longer-term therapeutic relationship depending upon your needs and goals.

There are lots of reasons why people seek counseling, therapy or life coaching. Maybe your problems come from your past. Maybe its current life circumstances like work or relationships. Family-of-origin issues, multi-cultural issues and social environments contribute to stress. Any combination of stressors may impact your moods, your health or your spirit. Regardless of the source of your problems, your emotional reactions to them disturb your Inner Peace.
