In the 1970\u2019s and 1980\u2019s, there was a rev\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtion of \u201cnew age\u201d thought about well\u00adness that has since broad\u00adened the men\u00adtal health field into branch\u00ades of holis\u00adtic health, pos\u00adi\u00adtive psy\u00adchol\u00ado\u00adgy and life coach\u00ading. An impor\u00adtant part of this rev\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtion has been the inven\u00adtion and use of MRI and PET scans to bet\u00adter pic\u00adture how the brain actu\u00adal\u00adly func\u00adtions in response to a wide range of thought process\u00ades. Thus, after earn\u00ading my doc\u00adtor\u00adate at UCLA, I did post-doc\u00adtor\u00adal train\u00ading in neu\u00adropsy\u00adchol\u00ado\u00adgy at UCLA.
